who doesn't love a prada party??

tuesday night prada hosted there annual fashion week party at the soho store on w. broadway, the usual hanger-ons were there (cory kennedy and peaches geldof), along with model  julia stegner, cassie, monika chiang, lou doillon,  purples olivier zahm and of course kanye made an appearance. attendees got to watch the animated short film "fallen shadows" which was created by miuccia prada herself...oh and my pick for best dressed of the night is def monika chiang, i'm dying to get an amazing denim shirt..

the mulleavey sisters did it again! i love love love there spring 09 collection! the stunning grecian gowns from there fall line are back for spring with a lighter and crisper palette.  i love how the fabric is shredded thin and ripped all over with chain embellishments.... and please look at the tights/leggings, can you stand them? they are amazing!  enjoy the video ...

not only do i love  kanye west music, but i also love him as a fashion icon.  known for causing drama with his big mouth, hes also known in the fashion world as a risk taker and a trendsetter.  west attended the s/s 09 proenza schouler show at the park avenue armory and looked geek chic in a classic grey suit with over sized "nerd" glasses. 

erin wasson x RVCA

we all know my obsession with erin wasson, well this weekend she debuted her line for RVCA, the clothes and models look like spitting images of wasson and her style, so of course all of us wasson groupies loved it! I can't wait for it to hit stores, i'm all ready making my wish list!!

oh how i love the buns...

so, i guess i have always kind of like jenni kayne, i mean i never loved loved her stuff.  but while playing on style.com and looking at her s/s 09 collection, i became obsessed with the buns! i mean how adorable are they?? for day or night, they are perfect! oh and i must add that i really like the clothes as well, perfect combination of ease and elegance.

The wang effect...

its fashion week ya'll... yesterday, with much anticipation, alexander wang showed his s/s 09 collection. ..with just what we love more color and more skin, it was perfection!  also, for the first time the young designer showed his new shoe line and a line of t-shirts called t by alexander wang.  below are just a few of my favorite looks.

JT and Erin Wasson together? AMAZIN

I was at the project tradeshow last week and saw william rast (justin's denim line) had a huge booth at the convention center...I decided to check it out and was pleasantly surprised to see his model of choice was erin wasson... JT and erin made a short film called "my name is william rast" (can we say marketing genies).  check out the trailer below and look out for the film release sometime this fall/winter.
oh and incase your interested, JT is showing his denim collection next week at ny fashion week and will be preforming twice, once at the fashion rocks show and the other at his william rast runway show.

fall handbags...

i must say, i'm in the market for a new fall handbag....part of me wants a super cool, folklore/ boho inspired bag (like the new gucci and purple fendi below) and another part of me wants something more classic (like the givenchy or maison martin margiela) ugh, decisions, decisions....i love them all
